Turkey's liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) production increased by 28.7 percent compared to 2014, according to the report by Energy Marketing Regulatory Authority (EMRA) released on Wednesday.
EMRA said in its annual LPG report that Turkey produced 899.2 thousand tons of LPG in 2015, an increase of 200.9 thousand tons compared to 2014.
The report also stated that the country's LPG imports increased by 10.5 percent in 2015 compared to the previous year and amounted to 3.46 million tons. Most of the LPG came from Algeria, Russia, Kazakhstan, Norway and the U.S.
Autogas sales represented 75.6 percent of Turkish LPG while bottled LPG had 20.1 percent and bulk LPG had 4.3 percent.
