Turkey's liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) imports decreased by 4.5 percent to 294 thousand tons in June 2016 compared to the same month last year, according to a report by Energy Marketing Regulatory Authority (EMRA) released Thursday.
Imports to Turkey came from six different countries in June 2016 - Algeria, Russia, U.S., Kazakhstan, Norway and France.
Turkey's total LPG production increased by 5.3 percent to over 84 thousand tons in June 2016 compared to the same month of 2015.
However, its LPG exports fell by 17.8 percent to 18 thousand tons in June. Among the countries which imported the highest LPG volumes from Turkey were Tunisia, Switzerland and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, according to the report.
In Turkey, total sales of LPG hit 344.5 thousand tons including 257.1 thousand tons of auto gas, 72.5 thousand tons of bottled LPG and 14.9 thousand tons of bulk LPG.
