Turkey's liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) imports decreased by 12.3 percent to 238.9 thousand tons in December 2016 compared to the same month last year, according to a report by Energy Marketing Regulatory Authority (EMRA) released Monday.
Imports to Turkey came from several different countries in December 2016 including Algeria, Norway, Kazakhstan, Russia, U.S., France, Ukraine and Greece.
Turkey's total LPG production decreased by 1.5 percent to 86.3 thousand tons in December 2016 compared to the same month of 2015.
In addition, the country's LPG exports rose by 21.2 percent to 35.4 thousand tons in December 2016. Among the countries that imported the highest LPG volumes from Turkey were Egypt, Switzerland, Tunisia, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), Bulgaria, Romania and Turkey's free zone, according to the report.
Total sales of LPG hit 313.2 thousand tons including 230.2 thousand tons of auto gas, 66.9 thousand tons of bottled LPG and 16.1 thousand tons of bulk LPG.
