Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye declined by 10.9% on Sunday compared to the previous day, totaling 735,347 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Monday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 34,701 megawatt-hours at 8 p.m. local time (1700 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 26,259 megawatt-hours at 8 a.m. local time (0500 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 720,404 megawatt-hours on Sunday, marking a fall of 11.2% compared to Saturday.
Electricity production from imported coal constituted 30.3% of total generation, while natural gas and lignite plants contributed 17.6% and 16.3%, respectively.
On Sunday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 4,715 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 19,658 megawatt-hours.
