Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 0.01% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 977,979 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 47,070 megawatt-hours at 12.00 local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 32,175 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 977,945 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a 0.06% decrease compared to Thursday.
Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 38.1% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants contributed 20.2% while lignite power plants comprised 13.6%.
On Friday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 10,501 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 10,777 megawatt-hours.
