Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 3.28% to 862.553 megawatt-hours on Saturday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Sunday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 22.00 local time with 39,832 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 30,284 megawatt-hours at local time 07.00.
Electricity production totaled 856,541 megawatt-hours on Saturday, marking a 4% decrease compared to the previous day.
The majority of the output came from natural gas plants with 200,650 megawatt-hours. Imported coal and hydroelectricity plants followed with 184,592 megawatt-hours and 145,914 megawatt-hours, respectively.
On Saturday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 2,171 megawatt-hours, while imports reached 8,183 megawatt-hours.
