Daily electricity consumption in Turkiye decreased by 0.85% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 852,047 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 40,421 megawatt-hours at 12.00 local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 29,053 megawatt-hours at 07.00 local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 849,333 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a decrease of 0.89% compared to Wednesday.
Electricity production from hydropower plants constituted 21.9% of total generation, while natural gas and imported coal plants contributed 20.9% and 12.9%, respectively.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 11,982 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 14,709 megawatt-hours.
