ISTANBUL
Turkish National Defense Minister Yasar Guler on Thursday hosted Qatar's ambassador Faisal bin Abdullah Al Henzab.
According a statement shared by the National Defense Ministry on social media platform NSosyal, Guler received Al-Henzab at his office in Ankara. While photographs of the meeting were shared, further details were not immediately available.
The meeting came as Israel and the US continue a large-scale offensive on Iran since Feb. 28, killing over a thousand people, including Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and top military officials.
Iran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel as well as Gulf countries, which are home to US military assets, disrupting energy supplies.
