Air raid sirens sounded across central Israel on Friday after missiles were detected incoming from Iran, according to Israeli media reports.
The Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronoth said sirens warning of rocket and missile fire were activated in central areas, including Gush Dan, Sharon, the Lowlands, and Samaria.
Additional alerts were triggered in southern regions, including the Negev, the Dead Sea area, Judea, Lachish, and communities near the Gaza Strip.
The report said launches from Iran were detected toward Judea and the Dead Sea.
It added that one fragmented missile heading toward central Israel was not intercepted, while another projectile fell in an open area.
Israel’s Magen David Adom emergency service said two people were lightly injured “in an accident” in Ramat Gan while sirens were sounding.
For nearly a month, the US and Israel have carried out an air offensive on Iran, killing over 1,340 people so far, including then-Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
Tehran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries hosting US military assets, causing casualties and infrastructure damage while disrupting global markets and aviation.
