Oman said Tuesday that two drones were intercepted in the Dhofar Governorate in the country’s south and a third crashed near Salalah Port, state media reported.
The Oman News Agency, citing a security source, said no casualties or material damage were reported in the attack.
Oman "affirms its condemnation and denunciation of the targeting operations, and will take all necessary measures to preserve the security of the country," the source added.
The development came as the US and Israel continued a large-scale attack on Iran on Saturday, killing nearly 800 people, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and top military officials.
In response, Tehran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel as well as Gulf countries which are home to US assets.
