An Israeli airstrike wounded 11 civil defense personnel near the Nabatieh regional center in southern Lebanon, National News Agency NNA reported on Wednesday.
The country’s General Directorate of Civil Defense said 11 members of the civil defense from the Nabatieh regional center were injured with varying degrees of wounds after an Israeli airstrike targeted a building about 20 meters (65 feet) from the center Tuesday night, NNA reported.
The strike also caused “significant damage” to the center and its vehicles, according to the statement.
The Civil Defense said its teams remain on full readiness and will continue carrying out their duties despite increasing risks and challenges.
Israel also launched a limited ground incursion into southern Lebanon on March 3 after launching a joint military campaign with the US against Iran on Feb. 28.
