ISTANBUL
Israeli artillery shells reportedly struck the headquarters of the Nepalese battalion in Mays al-Jabal in southern Lebanon Friday, according to media reports.
Lebanon’s official National News Agency (NNA) said the battalion is part of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).
No further details were provided.
UNIFIL has not issued a statement.
The developments came amid US and Israeli attacks against Iran launched Feb. 28 that have killed 1,300 victims, including several top officials.
