Sirens sounded across northern Israel from rocket attacks launched by Hezbollah in Lebanon, the Yedioth Ahronot newspaper reported late Friday.
It said Hezbollah fired five rockets at the Nahariya settlement and most of the rockets were intercepted, while the rest landed in open areas.
Sirens were sounded in several areas in northern Israel, including Nahariya, Avivim in the Galilee, and Haifa, due to Hezbollah’s repeated rocket attacks at short intervals since the evening.
The Israeli military said it targeted rocket launchers belonging to Hezbollah in overnight airstrikes on Lebanon,
A statement added that airstrikes were carried out immediately after Hezbollah’s latest retaliation.
In addition, Israeli disaster agency, Magen David Adom, reported that, according to initial assessments, there were no deaths or injuries from the rocket attacks.
