Saudi Arabia’s Defense Ministry said early Saturday that a ballistic missile launched toward the Riyadh region was intercepted and destroyed.
“A ballistic missile launched towards the Riyadh region was intercepted and destroyed,” a spokesperson said on US social media company X.
No further details were provided on the origin of the missile or the timing of the interception.
Authorities did not report any casualties or damage.
