Israeli airstrikes on Gaza kill 18, including children

Couple and daughter killed in strike on house in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza Strip

ISTANBUL

At least 18 people were killed and over 40 others injured on Tuesday when Israeli warplanes targeted several areas in Gaza City and the central part of the enclave, medical sources told Anadolu.

Eight Palestinians were killed and 40 wounded when Israeli aircraft struck homes near the General Security Junction in northwest of Gaza City.

Three more people, including two children, were killed as Israeli warplanes targeted two inhabited homes in Gaza City’s al-Daraj neighborhood. Dozens remained missing under the rubble.

Four Palestinians were also killed when an Israeli airstrike hit a home in the al-Sabra neighborhood of southern Gaza City.

In central Gaza, an Israeli strike on a house in west of Deir al-Balah killed a couple and their daughter.
