Iran said Tuesday that 230 students and teachers have been killed since the start of US-Israeli attacks.
Iran’s Ministry of Education said 230 students and teachers were killed, while 177 students and cultural figures were wounded since the onset of the attacks on the country, according to a report by the state broadcaster IRIB.
More than 600 educational and cultural facilities have been damaged or destroyed since the beginning of the war, it added.
The US and Israel have maintained airstrikes on Iran since Feb. 28, killing so far over 1,340 people, including then-Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
Tehran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, along with Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries hosting US military assets, causing casualties and damage to infrastructure while disrupting global markets and aviation.
