Hezbollah said Friday it carried out more than 90 attacks targeting Israeli troops, vehicles and military positions in southern Lebanon and northern Israel in the past 24 hours, describing it as its largest wave since the start of the ongoing war.
In multiple statements, the group said it launched drone swarms at Israeli artillery positions in the settlement of Kabri and fired rockets at troop and vehicle gatherings in sites including Misgav Am and Metula.
It said it also struck Israeli infrastructure in Katzrin in the occupied Golan Heights, as well as positions in the city of Safed.
Hezbollah added it targeted gatherings of Israeli forces with a guided missile near the town of Qouzah in southern Lebanon.
The group also said it targeted two Israeli Merkava tanks in Naqoura and Qantara in southern Lebanon, raising the number of tanks hit since Thursday to 30, claiming “direct hits.”
The Israeli army said Thursday evening that two soldiers were killed and four others, including two officers, were injured during ongoing fighting in southern Lebanon.
Separately, Israeli emergency services and Hebrew media said one Israeli was killed and 35 others were injured in attacks from Iran and Lebanon.
Israel has pounded Lebanon with airstrikes and launched a ground offensive in southern Lebanon since a cross-border attack by Hezbollah on March 2.
Lebanese authorities said at least 1,116 people have since been killed and 3,229 injured in Israeli attacks.
The escalation came amid a joint US-Israeli offensive on Iran, which has killed more than 1,340 people since Feb. 28. Iran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel and US bases in Gulf countries.
