Hezbollah says it carried out 30 operations against Israeli targets on Tuesday

Attacks involved rockets and drones targeting military sites and areas in northern Israel

Lebanon’s Hezbollah group on Tuesday said that it carried out 30 military operations targeting Israeli army positions, bases and troops using rockets and drones in southern Lebanon and northern Israel.

In a series of statements, the group said the attacks were conducted “in defense of Lebanon and its people,” adding that the operations targeted military sites and concentrations of soldiers and vehicles along the border, as well as targets deep inside Israel.

Hezbollah said the attacks also targeted Areas inhabited by Israeli occupiers in northern Israel, including Zarit, Shlomi, Shomera, Metula and Nahariya, through rocket barrages.

The group said it targeted three Merkava tanks, one on the Qantara Taybeh road in southern Lebanon with a guided missile and “was seen burning,” a second in the town of Rashaf which it said was destroyed, and a third at Tallat Friz in the town of Aita al-Shaab using a suicide drone that “achieved a direct hit.”

It added that it targeted several military sites, including a checkpoint in Misgav Am settlement, an air defense system in Ma’alot-Tarshiha, and groups of Israeli soldiers and vehicles in Avivim with repeated rocket barrages.

Hezbollah also said it targeted the Adamit barracks with a swarm of drones, as well as military at the Sadr Friz triangle in Aita al-Shaab, and communication and surveillance equipment east of the town of Taybeh in southern Lebanon.

The group said it targeted an armored personnel carrier in Taybeh with a drone, and an Israeli force inside a house in the town of Qouzah with a guided missile, “achieving a direct hit,” in addition to military infrastructure in the Krayot area north of Haifa.

It also announced strikes on military bases, including Stella Maris, which it described as a strategic naval surveillance base, as well as the Nesherim and Tefen bases, using “precision” rockets and attack drones.

In a separate statement, Hezbollah said it targeted a “high-level Israeli military convoy” in Tallat al-Oweida with rockets and artillery shells.

It also announced an ambush targeting an Israeli armored force advancing in the town of Beit Lif in southern Lebanon, where its fighters detonated explosive devices and engaged the force with light and medium weapons, before targeting it with rockets and artillery, causing “direct hits.”

The group added that it later targeted Israeli reinforcements that arrived at the scene with guided missiles, resulting in casualties, including what it described as a battalion commander in the Nahal Brigade.

Israel has carried out airstrikes and a ground offensive in southern Lebanon since a cross-border attack by Hezbollah on March 2, despite a ceasefire that took effect in November 2024.

Lebanese authorities say at least 1,247 people have been killed and 3,690 injured in Israeli attacks since then.

Hezbollah, an ally of Iran, began attacking Israeli military positions the same day in response to continued Israeli strikes on Lebanon.
