Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday held talks with Switzerland's President Guy Parmelin and Netherlands Prime Minister Dick Schoof in New Delhi.

Modi held "productive" discussions with Parmelin on the sidelines of the AI Impact Summit 2026, Indian Ministry of External Affairs spokesman Randhir Jaiswal said.

“They discussed strengthening Switzerland, India collaboration in the economic sphere, including trade, investment and technology especially…and future-ready partnerships in AI innovation,” Jaiswal wrote on US social media company X.

Modi also held bilateral discussions with his Dutch counterpart, Dick Schoof.

“Both leaders exchange views for harnessing AI as an enabler for economic and social transformation. The leaders noted the conclusion of India-EU free trade agreement (FTA) negotiations and reiterated their commitment to work for its early implementation,” Jaiswal said.

He added: “They agreed to further strengthen India-Netherlands cooperation in technology and innovation and leverage new opportunities in our economic partnership…”

Modi also met Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis. They reviewed various aspects of the India-Greece strategic partnership, especially in the fields of trade, defense, security, tourism, culture, and collaboration in AI and other emerging technologies, said the ministry spokesman on X.

The two leaders also discussed boosting connectivity, especially through the India–Middle East–Europe Economic Corridor.

Separately, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan also held talks with the Indian prime minister, according to the Indian External Affairs Ministry.

The two sides reaffirmed the importance of the India-United Arab Emirates comprehensive strategic partnership, the ministry said on X, adding that they also discussed "collaborative opportunities in strategic sectors such as space, nuclear energy, technology and innovation."

Earlier in January, India and the UAE signed a 10-year liquefied natural gas supply agreement, with both countries vowing to double bilateral trade to a $200 billion target by 2032 and move towards closer defense cooperation.
