China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi will visit Brussels for high-level talks with the EU, an official statement from Beijing said on Friday.
Wang will also pay an official trip to Germany and France during his week-long trip, beginning June 30.
At the EU headquarters in Brussels, Wang will hold the 13th round of China-EU High-level strategic dialogue with the bloc’s foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas.
The trip comes ahead of expected summit of Chinese and the EU leaders later in July, to be hosted by Beijing.
In Brussels, Wang will also have talks with Belgium’s Prime Minister Bart De Wever and Foreign Minister Maxime Prevot.
Wang will visit Germany at the invitation of Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul and the two will co-chair eighth round of China-Germany strategic dialogue on diplomacy and security.
Later, he will visit Paris at the invitation of French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot where the duo will hold China-France high-level dialogue mechanism on people-to-people exchanges.
