Magnitude 5.8 earthquake strikes Cuba

No immediate reports of casualties or major damage

WASHINGTON

 A magnitude 5.8 earthquake rattled Cuba early Tuesday, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS).

The earthquake struck 49 kilometers (30.4 miles) south-southwest of Maisi, USGS said.

It occurred at a depth of 11.6 kilometers (7.2 miles).

There were no immediate reports of casualties or major damage.
