ISTANBUL
Libyan Deputy Prime Minister Mustafa Abushagur said that as Arab Spring continued, the world was changing and getting a better place.
People, who have been living under oppression like a prisoner, gained their freedom thanks to youth in Libya, added Abushagur who spoke at the opening of the 2nd Istanbul World Political Forum on Thursday.
He noted that real democracy was a new situation in many Arab countries, adding that Libya was also experiencing a transformation.
Libya is passing from dictatorship to democracy, and from ignorance to freedom, he said.
Abushagur said that Libya did not have a constitution for 42 years, and Libyan people, for the first time, would vote for a new constitution.
