BRUSSELS
Malian Foreign Minister Tieman Coulibaly has said, they will question the friendship of those countries which criticize French army's intervention in Mali.
Replying the questions of reporters after a meeting of Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) in Brussels, Malian fm seemed angered by a question on reminding him the claims on extrajudicial execution of opposition.
"Do you call terrorist, opposition? You cannot use terrorist in quotation marks. You say, 'they are terrorists, drug dealers and criminals' and put end to it," stressed Coulibaly.
Coulibaly expressed that there was a war happening in Mali and France was helping them out and added, "Because we were not strong enough to manage this war. As Mali, we asked for the help of this friend country. French came to fight against those evil powers who took control of our country and as normal, all countries in the world accepted that. We will question the friendship of those countries which criticize French army's intervention in Mali. If French air forces did not come in there will not be Republic of Mali.
Furthermore, Catherine Ashton, the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, commented about the recent developments from Mali and said, they condemn any violent attacks to public coming from any sides in Mali.
