Turkey’s Anadolu Agency’s (AA) Director General and Chairman of the Board Kemal Ozturk hosted on Tuesday a reception in the Bosnian capital, Sarajevo, to celebrate its second birthday of its broadcast in Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian (BCS) language.
'Reliable, impartial and fast', the Anadolu Agency BCS Service has emerged as one of the most significant news hubs of the Balkans.
Bekir Izetbegovic, Bosnian member of the Presidency of Bosnia-Herzegovina, said at the reception that the quality of journalism in the region has increased since AA's Bosnian broadcast was launched.
“People trust and believe in you; you are always on the side of the truth,'' Izetbegovic said. ''Don't lose this trust because it is your merit.”
Kemal Ozturk emphasized the importance of Bosnia by saying, “This country is not only located in a Balkan region but it is located in our hearts.''
“We cry when Bosnian people cry and be laugh when they laugh,” Ozturk said.
Maintaining a considerable daily output of 75 stories, 150 photos and 25 videos per day, the Bosnian broadcast service has made its mark within the last two years.
The service has signed 50 subscription deals with various media institutions operating in the region.
