ANKARA

Turkey on Saturday extended condolence to Mexico over a deadly pipeline explosion in Tlahuelilpan, north of Mexico City.

"We have received the news with sorrow that many people lost their lives and were injured in the oil pipeline explosion in the city of Tlahuelilpan of Mexico," a statement by the Turkish Foreign Ministry said.

The ministry also extended "condolences to the families of those who lost their lives, the people and the Government of Mexico and wish speedy recovery to those injured."

At least 66 people were killed, 85 missing and many others were injured after an oil pipeline exploded in Mexico, Petroleos Mexicanos (Pemex), Mexican state oil company said on Saturday.
