Holding a joint press conference with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Tuesday, Italian Prime Minister Mario Monti said that international community should act together for a common target regarding Syria.
Noting that they took active role in this issue by providing logistics support, Monti said that they would decide during council of ministers meeting to set up a field hospital in Jordan.
Recalling that the UN accepted Italy's offer to send 15 observers to Syria, Monti said that they were closely following the process in Syria.
Regarding Turkey's EU membership process, Monti said that Turkey could make significant contributions in economic, geopolitical and cultural aspects in the EU.
