JERUSALEM
Israeli security forces are searching for four people believed to have managed to infiltrate into the southern Israeli city of Eilat from the sea, Israeli sources said late on Thursday.
The website of the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported that Israeli security forces hurried to the coast of Eilat and closed down a road leading to the Taba crossing on the border between Egypt and Israel.
Security forces are searching for four suspects, the website of the newspaper reported.
The website did not, however, refer to the nationality of the suspected infiltrators. The Israeli army did not issue a statement about the reported infiltration either.
Israeli police, meanwhile, said on its website that some terrorists might have managed to infiltrate from the sea.
It said policemen had searched the area and closed down the road leading to the Taba crossing.
