An Egyptian court on Tuesday adjourned to March 8 the trial of Muslim Brotherhood Supreme Guide Mohamed Badie and 14 others charged with inciting violence, a judicial source said.
The defendants face multiple charges, including incitement to violence, terrorism, assault and "affiliation with an armed gang."
The list of defendants includes top Muslim Brotherhood leaders Mohamed al-Beltagi and Essam al-Erian; Salafist preacher Safwat Hegazi; and Gamaa Islamiya leader Assem Abdel-Maged.
Since the July 3 ouster of elected president Mohamed Morsi, Egyptian authorities have launched a wide-ranging crackdown on the Brotherhood, arresting thousands of the group's leaders and supporters on charges that they were "inciting violence."
Last December, the Egyptian government designated the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist group.
