CAIRO
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadi-Nejad on Wednesday urged both the Syrian regime and the opposition to come to a solution for the ongoing Syrian conflict.
Speaking on an Egyptian state TV, Ahmadi-Nejad, who is in Cairo to attend a meeting of the 12th summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), said, "We believe that war creates war. We work for Syrian people to decide on free elections."
He referred to their relations with Egypt and noted that both sides seek to strengthen bilateral relations.
