Cairokee delights fans at Ora Arena Bayrampasa, raises funds for Gaza with art auction

ISTANBUL

Egyptian rock band Cairokee held a concert Saturday at Ora Arena Bayrampasa in Istanbul.

It was the first-ever concert for the band in Türkiye, according to organizer Muhannad Mahfouz.

Mahfouz said Cairokee is a well-known group worldwide.

"Although the group has performed concerts around the world, they have never performed in Türkiye before. They are a beloved group in the Arab and Turkish world. That's why we chose Türkiye," he said.

Mahfouz noted that the band worked for two months for the concert organization.

"The group is very happy to come to Türkiye. They will then go on a tour in Europe," he added.

After the concert, a painting put up for auction to be donated to the Gaza Strip was sold for $1,000.
