Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said Saturday that a series of reports had arrived over two Turkish journalists who were held hostage in Syria.
Responding to a question over news reports that the journalists were set to be released soon, Davutoglu said reports hade been arriving and that he monitored the issue very closely.
"I hope they will return safely back to our country," Davutoglu said without elaborating further.
The journalists, Adem Ozkose and Hamit Coskun, with a weekly Turkish magazine went missing early in March after arriving in Syria's northwestern city of Idlib, a rebel bastion.
They were reported to have been taking under custody by pro-government forces and later they were reportedly handed over to the Syrian intelligence officers.
The journalists' guide has said they were in good health condition.
