Soldier sustains injuries in PKK terror attack in southeastern Mardin province

MARDIN, Turkey
A Turkish soldier Tuesday succumbed to his injuries sustained in a PKK terror attack in southeastern Turkey, security sources said.
The soldier -- among two injured in PKK attack in Mardin -- died at a hospital in southeastern Diyarbakir province.
Two Soldiers were heavily injured when PKK members opened fire during the Turkish army’s anti-terror operation in Mardin’s Dargecit district.
In its more than 30-year terror campaign against Turkey, the PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU -- has been responsible for the deaths of some 40,000 people, including women and children.
