Turkish judoist wins gold in European Games

ISTANBUL

Turkish judoist Mikail Ozerler won a gold medal in the 2019 European Games in Belarus on Monday.

After beating Israeli Li Kochman in the men's 90 kilogram (198 pound) category final, Ozerler claimed the gold medal in the Second European Games.

Over 4,000 athletes from 50 countries participated in European Games in Minsk.

The first European Games were held in Baku, Azerbaijan in 2015, with the second slated to end on June 30.
