Rafael Nadal defeats Ricardas Berankis to advance to 3rd round at Wimbledon

ANKARA 

Rafael Nadal advanced to the third round of Wimbledon with a four-set victory Thursday against Ricardas Berankis. 

The two-time champion secured his place in the next round against his Lithuanian opponent at Center Court with the 4-6, 4-6, 6-4, 3-6 win.

The Spaniard will meet Italy's Lorenzo Sonego in the next round.

Australian Kyrgios Kyrgios earned a straight-set win against Filip Krajinovic from Serbia 6-2 6-3 6-1.

He will next face Greece’s fourth seed Stefanos Tsitsipas.
