ANKARA (AA) - Turkish football club Trabzonspor have been fined €40,000 by UEFA over their fans' rampant behavior during the UEFA Europa League Round of 16 match against Napoli in Italy.
The UEFA Discipline Committee stated on Thursday that Trabzonspor had received the fine as Turkish fans had damaged the seats in stadium, lit torches and thrown them onto the pitch during the game against Napoli on February 26.
Trabzonspor were eliminated by Napoli in the Europa League Round of 16 after losing 5-0 on aggregate.
