Football: Trabzonspor shoot for 3rd win in row Saturday
Black Sea Storm aim to keep title race alive against Galatasaray on matchday 15
Trabzonspor aim to secure their third consecutive Turkish Super Lig victory by beating Galatasaray on Saturday evening.
The most anticipated game of matchday 15 will be held at 7 p.m. local time (1600GMT) at Trabzonspor's Medical Park stadium.
Trabzonspor are currently in the ninth spot with 20 points and hope to take part in the race for the league title, while Galatasaray collected 26 points, winning in eight games, drawing in two, and losing three in the Super Lig.
Galatasaray manager Fatih Terim, Ryan Babel, Oghenekaro Etebo, and two players who contracted the novel coronavirus will miss the game.
Terim, 67, was banned for five games by the disciplinary board of the Turkish Football Federation over unsportsmanlike conduct against the referee on matchday 13.
Babel and Etebo will miss the clash due to their injuries.
For Trabzonspor, Abdulkadir Omur and Salih Kavrazli will not fight for their team as they have recently tested COVID-19 positive.
In addition to them, Anders Trondsen will not play either due to an injury.
Playing 14 games, Super Lig leaders Aytemiz Alanyaspor are currently one point clear of second-place Galatasaray on the lig table, followed by third-place Fenerbahce with 26 points and fourth-place Besiktas with 25 points.
