ANKARA
Iceland beat Kazakhstan 3-0 in UEFA Euro 2016 qualifying group match at Astana Arena in Kazakhstan on Saturday.
Visitors Iceland scored the leading goal in the 20th minute when Eidur Gudjohnsen found the net. Twelve minutes later, Birkir Bjarnason doubled the score for his team.
Comfortable in the second half, Iceland won the match 3-0 after Bjarnason scored the third in injury time.
Victorious Iceland -- getting a crucial win for advancing to the finals in France -- have raised their points to 12 in Group A standings for a solid hold on the second place. Meanwhile, winless Kazakhstan bring up the rear with one point after matchday 5.
