The UEFA Champions League final kick-off were delayed for more than 30 minutes because of late-arriving fans, European football’s governing body said Saturday.

"Due to the late arrival of at the stadium, the match has been delayed," a message said on big screens inside Stade de France.

UEFA also said on Twitter that kick-off was delayed for security reasons.

The Liverpool versus Real Madrid match started at 1936GMT in Saint-Denis, France.
