Besiktas head to Germany in hunt for season's 1st Champions League win

ISTANBUL

Besiktas are eyeing their first Champions League win of the season, as they will take on Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday.

The Group C clash between both sides will kick off at 2000 GMT and French referee Francois Letexier will officiate at Dortmund's Signal Iduna Park.

Collecting six points, Borussia Dortmund are in the third spot with two wins and three defeats.

The Istanbul football side are at the bottom of the group without any point and were already eliminated from the Champions League.

The Black-Eagles have five injured players. Georges-Kevin N'Koudou, Mert Gunok, Gokhan Tore, and Alex Teixeira and Miralem Pjanic will not play for their team against the German club.

Ajax, which qualified for the next stage will host Sporting CP at Amsterdam's Johan Cruijff Arena in another group match on Tuesday.

The Dutch side top the group with 12 points, winning all matches, while the Portuguese team are in the second place, having nine points.
