Fenerbahce Ulker's Serbian forward Nemanja Bjelica has been named as the Most Valuable Player of the 2014-15 Turkish Airlines Euroleague season.
Bjelica was given the award in Madrid Thursday.
Regarded as an integral part of the Turkish Airlines Euroleague title contenders, Fenerbahce Ulker, Bjelica averaged 12.6 points and 10.1 rebounds per game in the top 16 stage. During the regular season, he clocked up 11.8 points and 5.7 rebound averages.
Meanwhile, the all-Euroleague first team players, Nemanja Bjelica (Fenerbahce Ulker), Boban Marjanovic (Crvena Zvezda Telekom Belgrade), Milos Teodosic (CSKA Moscow), Vassilis Spanoulis (Olympiakos) and Felipe Reyes (Real Madrid) bagged awards as well.
Bjelica's teammate Bogdan Bogdanovic (Fenerbahce Ulker) got the “The Euroleague Rising Star Award"; "The Top Scorer Award" went to Taylor Rochestie (Nihzny) and Bryant Dunston (Olympiakos) was honored as "The Best Defender".
The top tier club-level basketball tournament in Europe, the 2015 Turkish Airlines Euroleague Final Four, will be held in Madrid between May 15 and 17.
The winner of the Fenerbahce Ulker/Real Madrid clash will face the victors of the CSKA Moscow/Olympiakos semi in the final.
