Bosnia's Federal News Agency (FENA) has praised its cooperation with Anadolu Agency.

"Cooperation with Anadolu Agency is important for FENA. We are grateful for the support and the incredible training opportunities that Anadolu Agency offers to us," said General Manager Elmir Huremovic.

"I believe that our cooperation will continue for many years. I can give the good news that we will sign a new agreement at the ABNA-SE [Association of the Balkan News Agencies] meeting to be hosted by Anadolu Agency on Nov. 17 in Istanbul," said Huremovic.

He added that the Bosnian agency had taken important steps in the last two years.

Huremovic pointed out that FENA became a member of the European Alliance of News Agencies (EANA) as well as joining the ABNA-SE.

"FENA also became the member of the Alliance of Mediterranean News Agencies in early October. FENA has reached an important position in the international arena. The international organizations that we are members of are the most important indicators of this," said Huremovic.

FENA was established by the Government of the Federation of Bosnia Herzegovina in 2000. It publishes 250 reports every day in the official languages of the country and English.
