144 Ukrainian soldiers returned home from Russian captivity: Zelenskyy
'We will do everything to bring every Ukrainian man, woman home,' says Ukrainian president
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said late Wednesday that 144 soldiers returned home from Russian captivity.
Fifty-nine of them are from the Ukrainian National Guard, 30 from navy, 28 from army, and 17 from border guards, as well as nine territorial defense soldiers and a policeman, he said on Telegram.
"I am grateful to the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine and to everyone who worked for this result," Zelenskyy expressed.
The oldest person was 65 years old, while the youngest one was 19, and of them 95 soldiers were in the shelters at the Azovstal steel plant in Mariupol city.
