German government on Friday called Russia 'not to escalate' tensions in Syria crisis as Moscow announced plans to sell Syria fighter jets.
"The German government calls on Russia to make contributions to a peaceful and political settlement, not to escalation," Steffen Seibert, a government spokesperson, said.
Earlier on Friday Russia's MiG aircraft manufacturer said it planned to seal an agreement to sell Syria at least ten MiG-29 M/M2 war planes.
In a televised interview on Thursday, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad Syria suggested that the first shipment of Russian-made S-300 missile defense systems has been delivered to Syria.
