Archaeological site of Ani in Turkey's Kars
A view of snow covered Ani ruins, located on a plateau of northeast Turkey overlooking a ravine that forms a natural border with Armenia, in Kars province of Turkey on December 14, 218. Ani ruins combines residential, religious and military structures, characteristic of a medieval urbanism built up over the centuries by Christian and then Muslim dynasties.
