Graduates of Anadolu Agency’s 16th intensive war journalism training program on Friday received their internationally recognized certificates at a ceremony in the Turkish capital Ankara.
The program, which began on Aug. 26, was organized by the News Academy of Anadolu Agency, Turkey's top news agency, in collaboration with the Turkish Police Academy as part of its journalist training program.
The program covered a number of key subjects, including personal security, first aid, advanced driving techniques, water survival techniques, survival during chemical and biological attacks, and media management in hostile environments.
Anadolu Agency reporters from dozens of regions both in Turkey and abroad -- including Palestine, Azerbaijan, and Ethiopia -- took part in the program.
Along with the training provided to Anadolu Agency employees, the News Academy so far has provided war journalism training to nearly 400 members of the media from more than 30 different countries.
