Turkish charity distributes aid to families in Yemen
IHH distributes food packages to 2,600 families as part of Turkey's joint campaign 'Yemen awaits humanity'

A Turkish humanitarian group distributed food packages aid to 2,600 Yemeni families, according to a statement on Thursday.
The Istanbul-based Humanitarian Relief Foundation (IHH) said the humanitarian crisis continues to grow in Yemen.

Some 15,600 Yemenis benefited from the food aid consisting of flour, rice, sugar, legumes, cooking oil, and baby food.
Last month, Turkish humanitarian agencies launched a joint aid campaign for people in Yemen under the banner "Yemen awaits humanity".

Part of this stage of the aid was carried out by Namaz Kardeslik Platform.
IHH added that their aid campaign will continue until the crisis in Yemen is resolved.
Impoverished Yemen has remained wracked by violence since 2014, when Shia Houthi rebels overran much of the country, including the capital, Sanaa.
