Explosive device detonates near Dolev settlement, west of Ramallah in West Bank
RAMALLAH, Palestine
An Israeli was killed and another two were injured on Friday after an explosive device detonated near a Jewish settlement in the west of Ramallah, an occupied West Bank city, according Israeli media reports.
“17-year-old girl was killed while her 47-year-old father was moderately injured in the attack, and her 20-year-old brother suffered serious injuries,” in the explosion near the Dolev settlement, the Israeli Broadcasting Authority said.
Israeli security forces and a helicopter were dispatched to the area.
According to the Broadcasting Authority, the army is chasing a suspicious vehicle which escaped the scene immediately after the explosion.
The cause of the explosion is still unknown.
Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, called for a security assessment with the Israeli defense forces.
