The Turkish Boxing Federation confirmed Thursday that national team trainer Seyfullah Dumlupinar, who tested negative for the coronavirus, will be discharged from the hospital.

Dumlupinar was under quarantine after testing positive on March 17 when the team returned for the U.K. following the cancelation of Olympic qualifications.

The Federation sent a “get well soon” message on its website.

The virus has infected nearly 15,700 people in Turkey with 277 deaths.

After surfacing in Wuhan, China last December, the novel coronavirus has spread to at least 180 countries and regions.

The global death toll from COVID-19 approaches 49,200, with almost 963,000 cases worldwide, according to U.S.-based Johns Hopkins University. Close to 203,000 have recovered.
