An international friendly football match between Turkey and Slovenia will be played without fans in the stands because of the coronavirus outbreak, Slovenia's government announced Tuesday.

"All sports events for 500+ visitors, including the upcoming Apline Ski Cup and the #Planica Flying Championships, will be carried out without spectators," the government said in announcing restrictions on the March 27 march in Ljubljana.

It said indoor events would be limited to 100 participants as of Tuesday.

The number infected with the virus known as COVID-19 in Slovenia, which borders the worst-hit country in Europe – Italy -- rose to 25 Tuesday.
