Trump chief of staff tests positive for COVID: Report

WASHINGTON

White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows has contracted the coronavirus, according to a report Friday.

Bloomberg, citing people familiar with the matter, reported it was not clear when Meadows learned he was infected with the virus or whether he had developed symptoms.

According to one source, Meadows informed his close circle of advisers after Tuesday’s presidential election.

Bloomberg also reported Nick Trainer, Trump campaign’s director for battleground strategy, tested positive for the disease.

Meadows is the latest top official from the Trump administration to test positive for the virus.

In early October, Trump and first lady, Melania Trump, tested positive for coronavirus that has infected 9.7 million people in the US. His infection came after aide Hope Hicks, tested positive.

More than 236,000 people in the US have died from the disease, according to Johns Hopkins University.
